Dalbeattie Community First Response Scheme' has been runnng since February 2014 and requires your support in order to be a success.
A Community First Responder is a member of the public who volunteers to help their community by responding to medical emergencies while the ambulance is on its way. All volunteers receive specialist training and equipment so that they can provide early intervention before the arrival of the professional ambulance crew.
If there is a life threatening emergency in Dalbeattie and the surrounding area, responders will be asked to assist until the ambulance crew arrives.
The Scottish Ambulance Service operates more than one hundred Community First Responder schemes across Scotland and there are five regional CRDOs who are responsible for supporting the schemes and helping those that wish to volunteer.
3rd Dalbeattie Rainbows is open to girls aged from 5 - 7 years and meet at St Peter's Church Hall Tuesdays 5.45 pm - 6.45 pm for fun activities - games, craft work, etc. For more information please email Patricia Donnelly.
